• Registration is open to qualified students upon completion of an orientation, interview and audition process, and subject to openings in the teachers schedules.
  • Call 215.848.3677 for more information.

Registration/Orientation is a two day event:
Parents meet with the staff first and are oriented. The students and parents both meet with the staff after a short break for a joint session.

  • Parent's and Students orientation, Saturday October 20, 2007 @ 10AM.
This is a special abbreviated, two stage orientation process involving both parents and students this year.
  • Final registration event, Saturday October 27, 2007 @ 10AM
  • The MACC Registration Form may be downloaded in either PDF or MS Word formats.

Because of the location of the program at this time (in a Public School), there are actually two registration procedures that are required. The first registration fee is payable to Cora-Beacon which runs the after school and Saturday programs for the School District of Philadelphia ( providing funds to keep the building opwn for us), and the second registration fee is made payable to MACC.

Classes start the first Saturday in November ( 9:30AM on November 3, 2007) at the Grover Washington Jr. MS, Philadelphia, PA.

The normal student day includes one private or small group lessons, a break for lunch, a theory class geared to the student's grouping according to our placement test, and placement in an ensemble group based on audition results. We follow the Philadelphia School District schedule of school openings, since school custodial and security personnel are paid to keep the building open.
